Best Period Film

San Francisco's acclaimed film festival "Another Hole in the Head" got hit by it's most present day period film to date: Tampoon.

And it won!

Directed by award winning filmmaker Jeanne Jo, "Tampoon" is a window into the one-sided relationship of Miranda (Alexandra August) and her manipulative douchebag of a boyfriend, Sean (me, J.J. Dunlap) as an unlikely hero comes to Miranda's aide in dealing with her relationship issues.

This short film is unlike anything I've ever been apart of and is one that I'm most proud of!  It really needs to be seen to be believed.  Congratulations director Jeanne Jo and leading lady Alexandra August for Best US Short Film at SF's Another Hole in the Head!

Yes, We Cannes!

The sexual revolution hits Festival de Cannes' 2015 shorts corner with a film I was absolutely delighted to be a part of: "Greasy Heart", written by Melia Renee and Laramie Dennis, directed by Laramie Dennis.  It follows newlyweds Grace (Melia Renee) and Jerry (J.J. Dunlap) Slick and their best friend Ira (Joel Dauten) as they traipse through the night in search of marijuana.  On a whim, Ira begins stripping off his clothes, daring the others to streak with him.  Jerry hangs back, watching Grace join in, running naked down the street, leaving her husband behind.
